The PCS P-50 pot has 4 core features.

#1)The Core / main pot: 

The width and depth has been designed for a herbaceous deciduous plant

#2)The Grid: 

Elevates the media off the bottom of the pot (the Base) to create a dark oxygen rich void for the roots to grow into. This oxygenation to the roots boosts the plants metabolism, increasing uptake of essential nutrients while also promoting stronger cell structure and tissue which ultimately allows the plant to be bigger and stronger, supporting more weight, and helping the plant deter pests and pathogens through natural defense mechanisms. The more vigorous the plant, the higher the brix (sugar) level. And since pest don’t have a liver, they won’t go near a plant with a high brix level.

The grid also works to concentrate excess soil moisture towards the center and drain out the moisture/water to assist with dry cycling the soil. As you know, plants don’t like to have their feet wet constantly. The aim is to completely saturate the soil, then dry out the soil (to a point) so the roots chase the moisture and the plant gets hungry, also eliminating pythium and other root and fungal issues.

The honeycomb design on the bottom of the grid also eliminates root spiraling and bind up.

#3)The Spray ring: 

Saturates the media evenly through 36 precise spray points, from the very outside of the pot, all the way to the center, leaving a 4 inch dry zone around the stem. This eliminates collar rot and helps encourage the roots to the outside of the pot much early in the vegetative stage.

The spray ring also has a reverse chevron pattern inside the ring which helps to further oxygenate the feed as it passes through.

#4)The Base: 

The base has a built in sump with double drains. This further helps to eliminate root rot and stagnant water issue, while also making irrigation setup easy and manageable.
